At Coldwell Banker Phyllis Rubin Real Estate, our requirements for a complete website overhaul weren’t light. We needed a state of the art design that would incorporate graphics, videos, a searchable interface with the Board of Realtors multiple listing service, as well as interactive content from Coldwell Banker corporate. Our website needed to be easily updated when agents join our brokerage and when press releases and articles become available for the real estate news section. We needed two almost stand alone sites as well, one for clients and customers and one for recruiting, where people could find out what it means to be a sales agent with Coldwell Banker.
After interviewing several web developers, Garth Woods of Garcom Web Services was the natural choice. No doubt Garth demonstrates a strong command of the craft of creating websites, but he is also a good communicator and a reliable businessman. He provided patient and knowledgeable advice to those people within the company who aren’t on top of the latest in information technology, and also wasn’t afraid to push the envelope and continue to challenge the ideas of those involved in the project who were both demanding and knowledgeable.

We were trying to get a website up and running with someone who “dabbles” in websites to save money…but it cost us time, actually months and it still wasn’t done. I take some of blame because of my own elaborate ideas of how I wanted it. Live & Learn.

We picked Garcom, after a long search, as our web designer.
A very good choice, we feel.
Right from the start, they brought many sound, practical ideas to redesigning our site to make it more effective.
On top of that, they presented very many thoughts about other options that have not even occurred to us at all. Some we adopted right away. But some of the others we have on hold, "in the bank" so to say, to be put place in the future, as needed. For example, we're set to go with a merchandising program, when we're ready for it. Similarly, Garcom set us up with the mechanisms for surveying our users, for reader forum/feedback features, and such like.
Another big plus: Garcom prides itself on client-control of its own website. They work very hard to de-mystify the in's and outs of maintaining controls in the client's hands.
Along these lines, Garcom includes trainer sessions for the client to learn to revise and update the website from home or office. Garcom is very generous with their time in this important process. But, at the same time, the firm stands ready to assist in any way to help on revisions, to add new features, as needed.
In short, the Garlic Growers are very fortunate with our choice of Garcom.

Mayfair hired Garth in January 2007 to handle the design and setup of our website (). In a very short period of time, Garth designed a very user friendly website that met all of our needs. Also, he set up the website in such a way whereby all of the Mayfair employees could access the website as an “administrator” and perform regular updates to the information contained on the site. This feature was very important to us and has been invaluable at minimizing our costs while adding to our flexibility.
